Self-Defense

You’ll learn the necessary skills and physical ability to defend yourself in real-life situations, by using pre-arranged sparring with a partner (bunkai), pad work, and for the advanced student unscripted self defense sparring.

Weight Bearing (Hojo Undo)

Along with the regular karate curriculum we practice weight bearing exercises. These exercises are Okinawan in nature. We utilize Okinawan implements such as the Shi-ishi, Sanchin Jame, Makiwara, and Ishi-sachi. Along with these we use battle ropes, weighted balls, and heavy bags. It is a true all-around workout for those looking to improve your fitness.
